🗓️ Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Vientiane | Cultural Welcome & Local Dinner

Welcome to Laos! Upon arrival in Vientiane, your local guide will greet you and lead a curated afternoon tour to discover:

• Wat Sisaket & Wat Si Muang – spiritual landmarks of Laos’ capital
• COPE Center – a moving insight into Laos’ war history
• That Luang Stupa & Patuxai Monument – the city’s most iconic landmarks

In the evening, enjoy a group welcome dinner at a local Lao restaurant before exploring Anouvong Park and Mekong riverside on your own.

Day 2 – Scenic Train to Luang Prabang + Kuang Si Waterfall

After breakfast, transfer to the station and board the high-speed train to Luang Prabang (2 hrs). Marvel at the beautiful countryside as you cross rivers and valleys.

Upon arrival, drive directly to the Kuang Si Waterfall, where cascading turquoise pools offer an amazing place to relax and cool off. Visit the Bear Sanctuary nearby before returning to Luang Prabang.

In the evening, explore the famous night market and nearby local food alleys—a perfect chance to enjoy Laos’ warm, walkable town center.

Day 3 – Luang Prabang Cultural Heritage + Sunset Cruise

Dive into the soul of Luang Prabang with a guided walking tour:

• Royal Palace Museum
• Mount Phousi – climb for 360° views
• Walk through the UNESCO village via the footpath to Heuan Chan Heritage House
• End the morning at Wat Xiengthong, a stunning 16th-century temple

After lunch (on your own), cross the river by boat to explore a less-visited local village for a glimpse into rural life. Then enjoy a private Mekong River sunset cruise with drinks and gentle scenery to end the day.

Day 4 – Tak Bat & Morning Market | Train to Vang Vieng

Rise early to witness the sacred Tak Bat almsgiving ceremony, followed by a visit to the morning market. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then transfer to the train station for a comfortable 1-hour ride to Vang Vieng.

Check into your hotel and enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Stroll along the Nam Song riverside, or relax with a drink like a local while the cliffs glow at sunset.

Day 5 – Vang Vieng Nature & Kayaking Adventure

Start the day with an early hike to Nam Xay Viewpoint—a rewarding climb with sweeping mountain views. Afterward, cool off at the Blue Lagoon, one of Vang Vieng’s signature attractions.

In the afternoon, gear up for a 12km kayaking experience along the river, stopping to explore:

• Tham Nang Fa Cave
• Blue Bridge viewpoint

You’ll finish kayaking around 4:30–5:00 pm, with time to unwind before dinner.

Day 6 – Morning Free & Return to Vientiane Airport

Enjoy a relaxed morning with optional add-ons:

Depart Vang Vieng by 9:30–10:00 am for your 1.5-hour transfer to Vientiane Airport, in time for your return Scoot flight back to Singapore.
