Planning guide
From a one-week field trip to a multi-week programme. Two weeks is the most common shape for an overseas module.
November to February is dry and cool and fits most northern-hemisphere academic calendars. The green season works for ecology-focused programmes where full rivers are the subject.
Start early. Group programmes involve approvals on your side and site arrangements on ours, and both take longer than a private trip.
Send the learning objectives, group size, dates and budget range. The first draft is an itinerary mapped to those objectives, not a quotation.
Transport, accommodation, meals, guiding and site access are coordinated as one programme, with a named contact throughout.
Group welfare arrangements are agreed with the institution in advance and documented as part of the programme.

Local planning note
The programmes that work are the ones where the objectives arrive before the itinerary. When a faculty lead tells us what students should be able to do by the end, the route almost designs itself.
The ones that struggle are built as a tour with a lecture attached. Laos is a small country with real access — a group that comes with questions gets time with people who can answer them.
